Preparing for the World of Work: Career Awareness, Life Skills, and Personal Development

AT CLMS, we have the Youth Achievement Program (YAP) for all Grade 6, 7 and 8 students.

YAP links school to the community, providing opportunities for students to experience and develop lifelong attributes of a responsible contributing citizen.

YAP provides students with hands-on career based learning opportunities in the classroom and within the Cold Lake Community, linking school curriculum to exploration of a variety of post high school opportunities.

YAP enables students to make better decisions about their current education, about opportunities in the high school, and about the transition from high school to post-secondary learning or the workplace.
